It has finally happened. Electronic Arts and BioWare have come to their collective senses and announced that Star Wars: The Old Republic will be going free-to-play in the fall. Never fear, however, if you really want to give them your money. Non-paying players will only be able to advance to level 50, whereas those that continue to subscribe will earn other benefits. Even so, it will now officially be free to the masses.

Atari has just released their second title to hit the Google Play Store with arcade classic “Centipede: Origins.” Okay, while the game follows the “classic” Centipede gameplay we all know and love, the game has (thankfully) gotten a complete facelift.

Max Payne has finally made its way to Google Play. Rockstar did a pretty good job with device support, and we got an early look at the enhanced Tegra 3 version. If you're a fan of this sort of action shooter, you're in for a treat. If you're not into the cinematic action genre, you'll still appreciate how the game looks and the excellent graphics Rockstar came up with on this one.

Magic's creator, Richard Garfield, is trying to wave his wand over the iOS world now. He's part of a Kickstarter campaign to fund Map Monsters, an iOS adventure game that tasks you with capturing monsters and snagging the lost heirlooms. The unique twist is the ability to integrate physical location into the game via GPS, turning any place you can go into a game board. Garfield is directing the game design, and the project has been underway for the past year. The Kickstarter funds will be used to finish it.

Nerds of the world (myself included) rejoice! Magic: The Gathering Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 is coming to iPad. Wizards of the Coast just announced that the game is coming out. This comes as no surprise, considering how incredibly popular the previous versions of the game have been.
