One of the major questions people were asking themselves when Christopher Nolan began work on The Dark Knight Rises was how would the Joker figure into the next Batman film, considering Oscar-winning Heath Ledger had passed away. Rumors abounded that Nolan would use CGI to recreate Ledger's performance with the help of unused audio takes of Ledger and a body double. Eventually, this was all settled when the final film included no reference to the Joker whatsoever. A few fan made storyboards popped up here and there including a minor Joker cameo.

The first-ever full length theatrical Lego movie is still happening! Slated for a release in February 2014, the movie has just landed a star studded cast: Morgan Freeman, who will presumably play a God in Lego world (joke), Elizabeth Banks, Chris Pratt and Will Arnett, who will voice a Lego Batman (not a joke).

Deadline is reporting that ABC has given the go-ahead to begin work on Whedon's show about S.H.I.E.L.D., the top secret organization that flies around in an invisible aircraft carrier. Many people had suspected this would happen after the copious marketing behind the S.H.I.E.L.D.-centric short Marvel film, Item 47. And Deadline says the series will continue it's growing focus on the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The vehicle has been tested in California’s Mojave Desert and also in more crowded conditions. Right now, the Aerofex machine is being tested at a top speed of 30 mph and a max height of 15 feet above the ground. I can’t wait until we can buy these. Raiders of the Lost Ark will be screened at IMax theaters for one week starting September 7. Following the big BIG screen showings, all of the Indy films will be released on Blu-Ray as Indiana Jones: The Complete Adventures. Fortunately, Steven Spielberg didn't mess with Raiders other than to enhance the audio for surround sound.

Inventor Izhar Gafni made a Cardboard Bike which is slated for mass production. The cost to produce one of these bikes is around $9 since the materials being used are inexpensive, the selling price is expected to start at $60. I was surprised to read that the weight that the bike can handle is 485 pounds, I am thinking that this is greater than the typical off the shelf bike in a department store. The inspiration for the bike is a cardboard canoe, who knew there were so many things being made from cardboard!

Han wouldn't have as valid of a comeback when it comes to this 10-foot, 900-pound sculpture of iconic Star Wars smuggling vehicle. Why? Because this is actually made of junk. Then again, Lightsabers from the original films were just made from junk too, like old flashbulb handles and pipes.
