Since the release of the original 'Mortal Kombat' and its sequel, video game to film transitions have really stepped up their game. It's a different time in which they're actually treated with a little respect as opposed to only being cash-grabs aimed at overzealous gamers with too many video game related t-shirts in their wardrobe.
