Leather working seems alive and well on Krypton. Ditto for skin-tight blue lycra suits. I get that the Superman costume has to be influenced by the Kryptoian styles and the family S crest and that's why some of this is designed the way it is...
...which has me wondering if Michael Shannon's CGI suit for General Zod will be made to look similar to Jor-El's shoulder pads of Kryptonian Armor. That could be legitimately cool.
